Afternoon all!
It’s an exciting week for us at Upset The Rhythm as our split LP featuring Dog Chocolate and Ravioli Me Away
hits the shops. This new puddle of vinyl is a riot of elasticated
hypnotics and deadpan post-punk and you can hear the whole album
streaming away downriver here!
If you wanted to pick up the record for £10 including postage and packaging then our webshop is good place to head towards. Tomorrow also sees us pitch up at The Grosvenor in Stockwell for a thrill ride of a show with Trash Kit, As Ondas and Primetime all performing. Full details follow, along with news of our recently confirmed concert for R. Stevie Moore in May at Café OTO too, enjoy…

TRASH KIT
are a gang of flag-bearers with a wild feel for melody and a heartfelt
kick inside each song. Mixing tumult, considered songcraft and
overlapping harmonies in equal measure, the trio sound as joyful as they
are focussed. Rachel Aggs, Rachel Horwood and Ros Murray formed the
band in early 2009, and since then have been lighting up London,
energising the UK underground with their raw performances. Trash Kit
have a sound of their very own, it's both urbane and primal, drawing on
the potential of punk and the naturalism of an internal folk music.
After a ruminative 2013, this year the band are readying a new album for
Upset The Rhythm and this'll be your last chance to see them before
they head out on tour with The Ex in Europe!
AS ONDAS are a band afresh, featuring members of Dog Legs, Shopping and Wachi Wachi they start their race with a sprint. With a spartan drum, bass and guitar lineup, As Ondas deliver up a delirious, chorus-drenched prom punk alongside the occasional wistful meditation.
PRIMETIME are another new band, finding their feet amid spirited post punk clatter with a sense of propulsive fun and maximal energy. Primetime's songs are rampages of sound as raw and minimal as they are inventive, recordings have just made the light of day, check it!
